The majority of Balinese are Hindus who still hold tightly and preserve their cultural traditions. Their belief have become cultural value and raised as the main attraction of the Bali island. Tri Hita Karana which is a way of Balinese life concept become main theme as design of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport (IGNIA) to escalate the traditional and cultural values of Bali people.
Tri Hita Karana is formed from three words, Tri which means three, Hita which means happiness or prosperity, Karana which means cause. In essence, Tri Hita Karana contains the three causes of happiness are rooted in the harmonious relationship between 3 things that are humans with God, humans with the natural environment, and humans with each other. The element of localities are felt in the building details, material, and space experiences.
